During The Great Blizzard quest, players are tasked with clearing a heavy storm from the Frosted Heights and freeing the iconic snowman, Olaf. To successfully finish this adventure, you must solve a specific puzzle inside a secret cavern that requires hunting down three colorful gemstones across different biomes.

Finding the Purple Amethyst

The first gemstone needed to restore the chamber is the Amethyst, a beautiful purple jewel that is tied to colder and darker regions. To add this stone to your inventory, you will need to head over to either the Frosted Heights or the Forgotten Lands biome with your pickaxe. Venturing into the Sunlit Plateau or the Glade of Trust allows you to smash the rock formations along the cliff walls. Look closely for orange glints appearing as you strike the nodes, which signifies that a Citrine is about to drop.

Securing the Green Emerald

The final jewel required to complete the puzzle sequence is the vibrant green Emerald, which can be uncovered in lush, green environments. Players can reliably source this green mineral by searching the mineral veins scattered within the Forest of Valor. Additionally, the mining locations inside the Glade of Trust serve as another great alternative for tracking down this gem. Gathering this final piece will give you everything necessary to return to Olaf's secret cavern and wrap up the magical ritual.

Placing the Gemstones in the Secret Room

Once you have gathered the Amethyst, Citrine, and Emerald, make your way back to the hidden chamber embedded in the Frosted Heights cliffside. Inside the room, you will notice a series of pillars arranged in a specific rainbow layout that needs to be completed. You must place the Citrine on the pillar situated on the left side between the red and yellow slots. Afterward, position the Emerald in the back right corner and slide the Amethyst into the front right pillar to trigger the final cutscene.
